FMP Audio Visual Solutions is part of FMP Media Solutions, Inc. Headquartered near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, FMP works with organizations around the world.

Our company founder Len Levin saw an opportunity in News Reel Labs, a struggling Philadelphia-based company that produced films, including features with Jayne Mansfield and Sidney Poitier. 

After purchasing News Reel in 1966, Len relaunched the company as Film Makers of Philadelphia, with sales efforts focused on motion picture services for large corporations.

Film Makers grew rapidly and in 1974 renovated its 5,000 square foot building as a full service16mm film post-production facility. Film Makers also partnered with Slide Transfer Services, Inc. to become the world’s top supplier of 35mm slideshow-to-film transfer services, with ongoing contracts with dozens of Fortunes 500 companies.

In the 1980’s, Film Makers began the shift from film to video production, and in a few years became a leading regional resource for producing video tape copies and converting between the many global standards for tape playback. The company name was changed again to FMP Visual Communications.

In the mid-1990’s, another technological shift was on the horizon: the burgeoning World Wide Web. The FMP team responded by launching a new company, XStream Interactive, to provide businesses with multimedia and internet-based visual communications, as well as live event support.

In 2003, FMP merged with XStream and the company was rebranded as FMP Media Solutions. With this integration, and a move to its new headquarters, the company concentrated on being a one-stop resource for producing business events, video and webcasting. In 2025, we began doing business as FMP Audio Visual Solutions to better reflect this emphasis.

Since our early days, FMP has been a leader in adopting new technology to enhance business communications. Inspired by our founder Len, we have also continued to nurture our roots in providing the highest level of customer service. FMP always puts our clients and their goals at the center of every project.
